Flushing Sailing Club

Response to the Covid Pandemic

With due regard to the Government Guidelines on COVID-19 and with close attention to protecting members, volunteers and the residents of Flushing, the Committee and Trustees of FSC CIO have agreed the following measures:

  1. The Clubhouse and facilities (e.g. the toilets and the bar) will remain closed until further notice, although the race officer and a very limited number of other essential volunteers will be permitted to enter, observing social distancing, to enable racing, once started.
  2. The Club slipway has been scrubbed and is currently clear of weed and is useable for members to launch their tenders. Please respect social distancing when doing so.
  3. The Flushing launch will not be running for the time being. However if you are an RCYC member, check the status of their launch.
  4. Any racing which takes place will be limited and run under strict guidelines and in keeping with the requirement for social distancing. It is proposed to commence racing in the form of pursuits, with a 4-race Mylor Chandlery and Rigging series starting on Saturday June 13th, and the Cockwells series on Tuesday 16th.
